Primary Research

Data gathered:

Data collected within my team and information shared by the client reveals a need for a workspace environment for creatives in the fashion Industry. Creatives need help accessing the resources they need to run their businesses. As a result, they need help to meet their project goals.

DEFINE

DEVELOP
Sitemap
Here’s a sitemap of the project management platform to help visualize the site and the best placement of each tool and categorize them in the right area.

User flow
Conducted different explorations of user flows from onboarding, creating projects, managing tasks, and collaborating with other team members.

Sketch
Here’s the main screen the team and client both agreed works best for users.

Wireframes
Created a black-and-white version of the final sketches. Defined the layout, button, and icon of the platform.

Dashboard
The dashboard screen shows the overview of the project timeline and task board, and the team members on the right corner. The idea of this overview task board is to visualize projects that need to be done, see who’s working on projects and updates of projects being made, and any changes.
.png)
One dashboard feature implemented was an interchangeable task board from task card to task list for users who are non-visual and more analytic thinkers.

Creating Project
Added a shared screen feature for creating a project for users who want to invite team members to view or collaborate with the project. Also added the target date and availability days for better collaboration between the team members and hitting the project timeline. The budget and default rate are for the team members and client reference that the project is worth x amount.

Project Overview
The project overview is where all projects are saved and can also be revisited for any changes. Included a task list of other projects for easy search and to know more detailed information about the project.

Client’s Feedback:

The client only wants a wireframe for this project to help them visualize the look of their platform as a kickstart of their business. Overall, the client was happy and satisfied with the outcome of the project. They really like the final screens that my team and I created for them as the problem are onboarding, project management, and collaboration among users or team members are solved.

Next Step
If only there was more time on this project, I would conduct a user test of the final screens my team and I created for more in depth design development of the overall look of the project. I would also create a prototype and UI designs to visually see the features in real screen and it's accessibility.
